To my American readers, I wanted to take a brief moment to break from the letters and wish you all a happy Fourth. My husband is outside cooking on his new (very fancy) grill that we just got; he's making a lamb roast larger than our heads and it smells *amazing.*
And for both my British and American readers, I found this Last Week Tonight bit by Jon Oliver about the Fourth and all that we lost after the Revolution to be, quite frankly, hilarious. So I thought I'd share it with all of you. I mourn the loss of our shared diphthongs Britain, I really do.
